Although I'm a GenXer, I've come to a similar conclusion: "Revolution from within" is what is being called for- each person has a responsibility to face and integrate personal traumas/shadows, grow in maturity, spiritual development and consciousness, unblock the heart and develop capacity for real love and compassion, if we ever want to achieve a peaceful and better world. This is not easy but necessary to make the evolutionary change that is required from us at this juncture. We need to understand, face and address the core seeds of violence and conflict, heal the personal, ancestral, collective wounds we all carry within us. More people are waking up to this and doing the hard work/deep healing.

BTW, I like the new focus of your article series.

Many thanks for your kind words. We need spaces where we can share our vision of reality and create the energy to shield ourselves from the negativity that surrounds us and define our happiness regardless. Have a great day!

Do you know of Thomas Hübl : https://thomashuebl.com/about/ -- he probes these issues deeply and also in a practical way.

Don't know Hübl, but I will look him up! Many thanks for sharing.

I was in Mexico City in 1968. The feeling among protesting students was so fierce and certain of success. Alas, ideology couldn't defeat weapons.

True. Those who believe in love and dialogue have a difficult time fighting weapons and power!

I must live a charmed life. While all this murder and mayhem was transpiring in 1968, I was happily attending my third university of choice, studying not demonstrating, planning a summer in Europe , buying a new motorcycle for myself and a sports car for my delightful new wife, and generally having a wonderful time while watching President Lyndon Johnson chicken out and wash his hands of America's problems by declining to run for re-election.

I was at university avoiding all of the negativity and concentrating on the great music and wonderful ambiance at McGill!

Interseting recap of a very dynamic aera indeed.

Your conclusion is interesting but I am affraid they don't take in account the current situation , i.e., the number of facist leadership in many countries, the impact of social media ( fake news) and AI in our lives and the impacts of climate changes.

Indeed, which is why we must envelop ourselves in our own protective bubbles and share our beliefs with like-minded souls who share our values. We may not change the world, but we can change ourselves.

Very good bird’s eye view of some of the world’s challenges during 1968.

A little more. About Johnson : at the time I thought I was watching a Pontius Pilate moment on TV, and while in Europe I visited Swiss Immigration to see about relocating there to avoid what I thought would be expanding global strife of which I wanted no part.
