Canadians Beware

Many Canadians on-line are reacting in a condescending manner to the decision by Americans to travel backwards in time by electing Trump and his MAGA cult.
They are laughing despite our own political reality that indicates a similar fate for Canada in 2025.
I would remind them that, thanks to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's decision to cling to power despite the myriad scandals his government has produced, he has decided to cling to power aided by his hapless caucus and party.
Rather than retire early and allow Liberals to prepare for the next election, Canadians now face a majority Poilievre government in the coming months.
Before we continue celebrating our superiority too early, let's reflect on our own upcoming pathetic reality.
President Joe Biden’s decision to remain a candidate past his due date has left Americans bereft of any choice now. They are stuck with their decision and will have to live with the results.
Canada is now in the same place, and the venality and incompetence of its political class has been found wanting.
Liberals have not had the testicular fortitude to demand and exercise early on a change of leadership that could have changed the course of governance and provided Canadians with real alternatives.
Can Canadians rise to the challenge and prevent a Donald Trump North from assuming full power through majority control of Parliament?
I doubt that this is a possibility in view of the inability or unwillingness of Canada’s Liberal Party and its allies to put country above party and national interest over personal or political gain.
So please, Canadians, don’t chuckle at the goings on south of our border.
We are in for the same fate, and the result will be our own fault.

I don't know anyone who is chuckling. Shaking their heads wondering what the he.. their cousins were thinking, or even who the he.. they are. It would seem that Canada, despite all its own issues, is the last decent and free country left on the American continent. I have no intention of voting against that. But as in the US, many will be subverted by powerful and skillful foreign interference through social media. Unless the Liberals get a handle on that, this last stronghold of decency and freedom is doomed as well.
