Mmm...yes, definitely an excellent prospect.

If there were a suitable successor to Trudeau, would that person not be an advisor to our PM? Surely he does not govern on his own. What kind of advice are they giving him? Do we know of anyone who could be a respectable PM? Chrystia Freeland comes to mind as someone who knows the battle field and still has credibility (at least I think so). But certainly the current leaders, at all levels, are not inspiring confidence or respect, and, as you say, what a shame, because Canada is a jewel in the world, and should be able to serve as a shining light.

Somehow I think Freeland is tainted by her proximity to Trudeau. The government seems to be run by PMO, politically tone deaf and ultimately technocratic. The advice he is getting is terrible and, with respect to communications, has been atrocious for some time! Gran abrazo!

You're probably right about Freeland...she'd have a lot of explaining to do. Unfortunate. She does seem like a very decent and competent person!

She does. The one person I could see is Sean Frazer, the housing minister. Bright, a good communicator, and gives the Conservatives hell beautifully!

Indeed he will. Would that he would retire and let someone else run for the Liberals to avoid a total shellacking in 2025!
