Thank you Eduardo . These thoughts and words are beautiful and lead to better understanding each other and the mysteries as we all follow our paths.

I do not aspire to one religion or another. I do try to find the good in all. However, the New Testament of the Bible has been translated by so many it is difficult for me to take it verbatim. I do believe in a Higher Power and try to follow the good in life, and people, individually. I have a very hard time respecting those who are billionaires with mega-mansions and private airplanes and I could to on.

I really liked this article Eduardo, and I will likely go on as usual! Gracias!

Agree. Those who make a fortune out of spirituality are not spiritual — their materialism underscores a level of ego that suppresses the soul immensely.

Human proposes, God disposes. Surely we can see the hand of God in action, for didn't everything turn out exactly for the best my very dear friend!

Indeed. Life presented many challenges we both overcame and are all the better for. We are exactly where we were meant to be with meaningful lives. As Mary Hopkin once sang, those were the days, and, as I would add, these are the days!

It just occurred to me that you're like a painter in that you paint what we all see, but we don't all see it all, and you so deftly point out the details with your canvas! Respect!

And don't forget that we met in the workplace, not as kids! Yup, it's been a good life, and our friendship has been a very special part of it!

To think the day we met I walked over to the library to ask you to Helen Burns’s party and Vaughan beat me to it by phoning you to invite you! Sweet memories!

How beautifully said! It made me wonder whether the famous 12-step process for dealing with addiction isn't the closest we come to an honest organized spiritual pursuit. At some point we all struggle with determining how worthy we are...of life, of love, of success...and those questions must be addressed, not cloaked in a veneer of things we surround ourselves with and things we ingest. From what I understand of that system, the people who seek it out get to address those questions as part of a group of equals and then get to help others using their acquired "wisdom" as you so well define it...and still as equals.

Indeed. Each finds their own path but are supported by others looking for the same enlightenment.
