Indeed they were. They had a couple of compositions by George Harrison that were very spiritual in the Indian sense, and then Harrison's later compositions and solo recordings had tremendous spiritual impact. They introduced the Maharishi to the West and to other artists who also folllowed his path.
I enjoyed that retrospective, the combination of a written article, musical novelty- including AI, and an interview with a charming and knowledgeable young man, about a great topic spanning the last 50-60 years of our lives and it’s obvious influence on the next generation!
