Thank you Eduardo. Did we ever think we would be in this position?! There are so many wild cards in this situation as you list so clearly. At the moment it feels like we are rudderless. First and foremost, we need a National leader to speak for Canada and gain the confidence and respect of Canada while all the while responding forcefully to the challenges ahead.

It wasn't until this recent event that I fully understood, how dependent Canada is /has been on the US. How can we sincerely be surprised by the threat? They are already in our home! And it goes beyond business- it's my family!

How can anyone pretend to be so surprised. I'm not at all.

It might be worth mentioning that Canadians need to beware of the trump card the US has always played when its power brokers convinced the President to annex another country or overthrow its government: misinformation and chaos. It doesn't take a genius to figure out they want Poilievre in power, so it won't be long before the media is flooded with exaggerations about the Liberals' mismanagement and downplaying of what they've done right, and a few juicy bits about Mark Carney's and Krystia Freeland's mistakes over their long and busy careers. I sure hope the Canadian media and the Canadian people are smart enough to navigate the Maga-infested waters washing north.
